Our Mission and Our Story.
We believe in disrupting the stigma associated with cannabis.
We believe in democratizing cannabis for consumers.
We are building an online anthropology of cannabis consumers, resources, and content.
We just happen to be really awesome writers on this blog.
This is what it means to be a Blunt BAE.
I remember reading somewhere that the average person changes careers seven times in one lifetime. It’s safe to say that I’ve switched careers at least twice now before age 30; I went from full-time student to full-time employee to a creative freelancer pining for a position in the cannabis industry. This is our mission and our story.
How did I get here? After receiving my degree in design, I was ready to go into the fashion/apparel industry and gladly stay there. Needless to say, I was hungry and wanted to start my place, so naturally, I was networking to learn as much as I could and build as many connections as possible. I decided that my design degree alone was not enough and decided to go back to school part-time to build some necessary skills in the business end of fashion/apparel. This was when things really started to pick up and change. I received a job offer from one of the connections I had built and landed a position in the apparel industry. I naively thought, YES! This is my time and chance!
Flash forward a year later, I happily left that job and decided to pursue my cannabis calling.
My cannabis calling began that fateful semester when I was given the assignment to create a faux business. For the research, I spoke to many of my personal friends who are cannabis consumers, and as I spoke to more women, the same response always came back “you should start this up for real…” And I giggled it off and thought they were crazy. I remember jokingly responding, “If I get an ‘A’ on this assignment, I’ll actually pursue it.” Thinking that it wouldn’t happen.
Needless to say, I got an ‘A’ on the assignment, which is why this blog exists now.
I am here writing to you all to let you know that I am answering the call for Blunt B.A.E. and to all the Blunt B.A.E.’s out there! Thank you for your continuing support, and let’s keep talking!
